Shimmer is a local clothing store that sells regular juniors and juniors plus-size clothing. Their regular sized clothes run from a Small to Large and their plus-size clothing run from a 1X to a 3X. Recently, Shimmer also opened their online store, whose inventory is being updated constantly. 

Today I went semi-shopping. I say "semi" because I forgot my debit card :(

Shimmer es una tienda local que recientemente también abrió su tienda en linea. Antes de continuar les cuento que HACEN ENVIOS A TODO EL MUNDO! Muchas de ustedes me han comentado que no tienen acceso a este tipo de ropa allá en Mexico, así que espero que esta información les sirva. Sus tallas "normales"van desde talla chica (Small) a grande (Large) y sus tallas grandes van de talla 1X a 3X. Toda su ropa es considerada para jóvenes así que vienen un poco mas chicas que las tallas "normales." Todo lo que me medí fue en la talla 3x. 

Hoy me medio fui de shopping. Digo que me "medio fui" por que se me olvido mi tarjeta del banco jeje  Así que iba muy limitada, pero de cualquier manera les queria compartir mas sobre las prendas que esta tienda tiene disponible. Su tienda on-line aun no tiene mucha variedad de tallas grandes pero espero que pronto suban mas cosas con picos y colores de primavera. Spiked Top

This top is very simple, but what makes it unique are the spikes that it has on the shoulders.

Esta blusa es super sencilla pero lo que la hace especial son los picos que tiene en el ombro. 

Trendy Colors 

 I really this top. I liked that it was mint, that it had a "pearl" detail, and most of all the "denim" contrast.

Esta blusa me gusto mucho. Me gusto que era color menta, que tenia un detalle de "perlas," y adore el contraste con mezcalina en el cuello y donde van los botones. 

One of the things that I love about Shimmer is that most of their pieces have small details (like the rhinestones on this top) that make the items different. I really liked the color and details of this top; however, I didn't like that it was shorter in the front (at least that was how it fit me hehe).

Una de las cosas que me gusta de muchas de las prendas de esta tienda es que tienen pequeños detalles que las hacen diferentes. Esta blusa me gusto en general, pero como que no me encanto. Creo que fue el hecho de que era mas corta de enfrente. 

Floral Prints

I sooo wanted this top to work. It is perfect for spring!!!!! This top was a bit tight on the bust area, but I looooved the print and style. If you have a Shimmer store near you, I recommend it 100%. It is the perfect spring top! You can tell by all the pictures I took that I really liked it :)

Realmente queria que esta blusa funcionara. Es perfecta para la primavera. Sin embargo, me quedo un poco ajustada en el area del busto, pero me encanto el estilo! Si tienes una tienda Shimmer serca de ti y eres un poco (o mucho) mas delgada que yo, te la recomiendo al 100%. Realmente pueden ver, dado a que tome muchas fotos de esta blusa, que realmente me enamoro  :)

Studs

This red top was very pretty, but it did not fit me at all. It was extremely tight :( I loved the style and the material. What attracted me to it was the peplum and studs. :(

Esta blusa roja me encanto pero me quedo super apretada. Sin embargo, si eres mas delgada que yo, se te miraria genial. Lo que me atrajo a ella fue el estilo "peplum" y los "Studs" dorados. :(

Animal Print

I fell in love with this pink animal print top. I forgot to take a picture of the back, but it has black lace, which made the back see-thru. This top fit me perfectly, except in the front area where it opened up (this is a recurrent problem for me in most tops). I'm planning on going back for it. When I do, I plan on just adding a safety pin. Remember: DON'T BE AFRAID TO MAKE MODIFICATIONS. Sometimes, a small change/addition can make a piece work perfectly!

Me encamore de esta blusa rosa de "animal print." Se me olvido tomarle una foto a la parte de atras pero tiene encaje en toda la espalda. Esta blusa me quedo perfecta, excepto por ese detallito de enfrente donde se abre un poco en el area del busto (este es un problema recurrente para mi jeje). Estoy planeando en regresar por ella. Cuando lo haga le pondre un segurito para solucionar ese problemita. Acuerdense que aveces tenemos que hacer pequeñas modificaciones/adiciones para que las prendas funcionen. Que no les de miedo! 

 Awesome Fitted White Jeans

These Jeans are AMAZING! They are by a brand called Wax Jeans, which is sold at Shimmer. I don't know about you, but it is really hard for me to find well-fitted jeans in any color, but especially white. I think I haven't had a pair of white jeans in more than five years. These jeans are super comfortable, stretchy, they mold to your body, and they do not feel cheap. They retail for $23.99. I had to get them. I can't wait to wear them out.

Estos jeans son INCREIBLES! Son de una marca llamada Wax Jeans, la cual es vendida en las tiendas Shimmer. No se ustedes pero es muy difícil para mi encontrar pantalones de cualquier color, pero en especial blancos, que se ajusten perfectamente a mi cuerpo. Creo que no he comprado/usado jeans blancos desde hace mas de cinco años. Estos jeans son súper cómodos, son súper stretch, se amoldan a tus "curvas," y no se sienten baratos. Su precio también me encanto. Solo cuestan $23.99 y por eso los tuve que comprar. Ya quiero usarlos!
