♥Laura Mercier Mineral Foundation with SPF 15 Review ♥

The Laura Mercier Mineral Foundation with SPF of 15 is one of my favorite (well, my only favorite) mineral foundation. How many of us get approached by representatives of certain mineral lines while walking in the mall? I certainly have! But to be honest, none have fulfilled my expectations. The coverage was minimal and I felt like it made my dry patches look worst. Because of those experiences I was reluctant to try this mineral foundation, but I'm so glad I did!

Product Claim
This oil-free foundation is made with natural elements and fifteen active amino acids. It can be used to set you cream/liquid foundation or alone. According to Sephora's description, this foundation is great for our skin because it "helps clear the skin of toxins, promotes healthy skin cell growth, and fights the aging process." Additionally, it claims to be water resistance. 

Packaging

I love the packaging. It is simple, but it looks expensive. I like that they included a swifter so that you can control the amount that is released and close it so that it does not fall and spill on your vanity, clothes, or floor. I usually pick up foundation with my brush and take the excess off on the cap. I love that cap! 

The Verdict 
I have to admit that using this foundation has made my skin feel softer and I believe that it has indeed helped my skin. I use this product by itself. It provides great coverage when used with a kabuki brush (I use Mac's 183 brush), and it gives you a natural glow look without looking shinny. Because of its powder formula, this foundation is NOT water resistant; however, it has great lasting power. I go to work from 9-3 and I do not need to reapply. It does not control oil very well, but it does not look excessive by the end of the day. Overall, I highly recommend this foundation. It has changed the way I  view mineral powders forever. I honestly never thought I would wear mineral foundation in my life.

My Color
I purchased this foundation in Natural Beige. I'm usually NC 30 in MAC. I think it matches me perfectly. It is slightly dark; however, you can't really tell. The reason why I did not exchange it is because I liked how it looked and I prefer a slightly darker tone so that I will not look as pale.

La Base Mineral de Laura Mercier con protección solar de 15 es una de mis bases minerales favoritas (bueno, es la unica jeje). A cuantas de nosotras no nos paran en el centro comercial para probarnos las distintas bases minerales que venden? Ami si! Y para ser honesta, nunca me han gustado ya que no me dan la cobertura que requiero y hacían mas prominentes mis areas secas. Por esas tantas experiencias negativas con productos minerales, estaba un poco renuente a probar esta base, pero después de ver varias reseñas decidi probarla, y estoy muy contenta de haberlo hecho!

Lo Que Promete
Esta base mineral es libre de aceite y esta hecha con quince amino ácidos naturales que ayudan a limpiar la piel de toxinas, promueven el crecimientos de nuevas células, a la misma vez que lucha para combatir el envejecimiento. Esta base se puede usar para sellar el maquillaje o sola. Tambien clama ser resistente al agua. 

Empaque

Me encanta el empaque. Es simple, pero se ve caro. Me gusta que incluye una tapa que permite controlar la cantidad de producto que sale y se puede cerrar cuando no lo estés usando para que no se tire en tu ropa, en tu mesa de maquillaje, o en tu alfombra. Por lo general tomo mi brocha le agrego producto y le quito el exceso en la tapa de la base. Eso me facilita mucho el trabajo. Amo la tapa!

El Veredicto
Tengo que admitir que desde que uso esta base mi piel se siente mas suave y he notado que se ve mas limpia. Yo utilizo este producto solo, en especial en esos días que estoy de prisa. Esta base me brinda una cobertura media pero solo si la utilizo con una brocha kabuki como la MAC 183 que ayuda a que el producto se aplique con mas precisión. La base me da un acabado radiante y natural pero sin verme súper brillosa. Por su consistencia polvosa, esta base NO ES resistente al agua; sin embargo, dura muy bien. Yo trabajo de 9-3 y no necesito re-aplicarme la base durante el ida. aunque no controla el aceite muy bien, tampoco se ve excesivo.  En conclusión, yo les recomiendo esta base al 100%. Ha cambiado la forma que veo las bases minerales por siempre. Personalmente nunca pensé que yo podría usar una base mineral en mi vida ya que tengo varias imperfecciones y las que había probado nunca me las cubrían bien y unas hasta me causaban reacciones secundarias. 

Mi Tono
Mi tono en esta base es Natural Beige. En bases de MAC por lo general soy NC 30. Creo que esta base me queda perfecta. Es levemente mas obscura que mi tono natural pero me gusta que mis bases sean un poco obscura para no verme tan pálida.
