El Reto de la Toalla Blanca de #NeutrogenaRostroLimpio (The White Towel Challenge)

Removing makeup is one of the most tedious jobs for may women (including me). Why? well, many of us get home super tired, and all we want to do is rest and go to sleep; however, removing makeup should be the most important part of our beauty routine. Although there are days when I do not wash my face at night, I do remove my makeup with makeup remover wipes every day.

Not so long ago I shared with you How to get Holiday Ready with Neutrogena, and I featured Neutrogena's Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes. Since then, I've fallen in love. These cleansing wipes remove makeup extremely well. I could tell the difference between them and my previous 99 cents cleansing wipes. Neutrogena's Towelettes did not dry my skin, and they felt soft, and hydrating.

Tip: To take off eye makeup, simply hold the towelette on your eye for a few seconds, and then pull the makeup remover wipe gently. Repeat this step a couple of times per eye until you feel that all of your eye makeup is removed. 

According to Neutrogena, their Make-Up Removing Towelettes take off up to 99.3% of all makeup, oil, and dirt residues. Remember, even if you do not wear makeup daily, you still need to clean your face at night from dust and oil that can clog your pores. These wipes are also safe to use around the eye area, they are dermatologist recommended, and are safe for people who use contact lenses.

You can find Neutrogena at many drugstores and beauty retailers such as Ulta. They have a retail price of $8.99 for the set that comes with the vanity box, or $6.49 for the refills.

The Challenge 

Neutrogena challenged beauty bloggers to take the white towel test. This challenge consists of removing our makeup with their Make-Up Remover Towelettes and then washing and drying our face with the white towel to show how effective these wipes can be. 

On this day I wore a lot of makeup. I wore primer, concealer, full coverage foundation, cream blush, setting powder, cream eyeshadow, waterproof liquid liner and eye liner, and regular deep black mascara. I knew this was the perfect day to put these removing wipes to the test. This is how the challenge unfolded:

Desmaquillarnos es una de las cosas mas tediosas de nuestro día (a menos para muchas de nosotras). Sin embargo, también es el paso mas importante de nuestra rutina de belleza. La verdad, hay ocasiones que no me dan ganas de lavarme la cara en la noche por que llego bien cansada de mis actividades diarias; sin embargo, si me quito el maquillaje con toallas desmaquillantes. No se si se acuerden, pero hace unos meses en un post donde les hablo de Como Estar Listas Para Las Fiestas con Neutrogena les mostre las Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes. Desde entonces las he estado usando y me encantan. Estas toallas desmaquillantes, a comparación de las de 99 centavos que estaba utilizando antes, no me irritan. Me dejan la piel suave e hidratada y no me lastima los ojos. Aparte, no tengo que tallar para quitar el maquillaje, ya que se desliza suavemente al pasar la toalla por tu cara.

Tip: Para quitarte el maquillaje de los ojos, solo deja la toallita desmaquillante unos segundos presionada levemente en el ojo. Después desliza la toalla (sin apretar, ni jalar) y repite el paso hasta que todo el maquillaje de ojos este fuera. Cuando uso delineador liquido, por lo general necesito de dos o máximo 3 pasadas. Antes, con las otras toallas, necesitaba utilizar otro producto ya que la toallita me irritaba mucho los ojos. Estas toallas son recomendadas por dermatólogos y según Neutrogena quitan el 99.3% de maquillaje, tierra, y aceite que saca nuestra piel. 

Puedes encontrar las toallitas desmaquillantes de Neutrogena en muchas tiendas de farmacia, Walmart, o Ulta. El set de toallitas con contenedor tiene un precio de $8.99, y las bolsitas solas cuestan $6.49.

El Reto

Neutrogena reto a varias bloggeras de belleza a tomar el reto de la toalla blanca para demostrar el poder de estas toallitas desmaquillantes. El reto consiste en quitarnos el maquillaje con las toallitas 

Make-Up Removing Towelettes y después lavarnos la cara y secarnosla con una toalla blanca.

Este dia fue uno de esos donde me cargue el maquillaje. Use prebase, corrector, base liquida de cobertura alta, rubor en crema, polvo sellador, sombra en crema, delineador liquido a prueva de agua, delienador a prueva de agua en lapiz adentro de los ojos, y rimel negro intenso. Por esa razon sabia que seria el dia perfecto para someter a estas toallitas a la prueva maxima, la toalla blanca!

El Proceso/ The Process 

1. I was afraid to remove ALL of my make-up for this challenge :/

 * The towel, as you can see from above, came out super white, but I did notice one itty-bitty spot where my waterproof eyeliner showed (see picture below). HOWEVER, the spot is super tiny and I knew that it would happen because I wore my deep black waterproof eyeliner and mascara. Even so, I think the results are amazingly great. Other wipes leave my white towel looking beige, and they leave me with raccoon eyes after I wash my face, something that these wipes do not do. Initially, after washing my face, I could not even tell there was eyeliner residue on my towel; thus the extreme close-up. For me, IT PASSED THE TEST!

*La toalla, como pueden ver en la foto de arriba, salió casi totalmente blanca, pero si note una pequeñita mancha de delineador (foto de abajo). Tengan en cuenta que use delineador a prueba de agua y que no me "limpie" el delineado de adentro, así que es normal que salga un poco de ese producto. De hecho pensé que saldría mas, ya que este día, como les comente arriba, me puse delineador intenso y a prueba de agua. Aun así, creo que los resultados son estupendos. Otras toallas que he probado me dejan el area de los ojos como mapache y mi toalla se termina mirando beige/amarilla en vez de blanca. Para mi, PASO LA PRUEBA!

Overall, I recommend Neutrogena's Make-up Removing Cleansing Towelettes 100%. As you can see from the white towel challenge, they definitely fulfill its promise to remove 99.3% of your makeup, oil, and dirt. 

Yo recomiendo las toallas desmaquillantes Neutrogena Make-up Removing Cleansing Towelettes al 100%. Como pueden ver en el reto, cumplen con su promesa de eliminar el 99.3% del maquillaje, tierra, y aceite que acumulamos a lo largo del dia.
