Event: Wella and Match Unite + What Do Men Think About Our Hair

Last week I was invited to a fun event at the Huxley Salon in San Diego. Wella and Match.com joined forces to help a group of women get ready to mingle with other Match.com singles. At the event I met with my friends Laura and Jasmin. We all have significant others, but we had a ton of fun getting to see the hair transformation of the other women. As a young lady we met after the event said, "it is hard to get back into the '[dating] game,'" so this mingling party definitely helped her feel more confident.

We learned that men do pay attention to women's hair, and their hair color and style, according to them, says a lot about their personality. According to a poll (see below), "a quarter of single men think women with braided hair are sporty and adventurous" and they also "think that women with straight hair are wife-worthy." I would have never thought that men paid so much attention to our hair.

I do not know where men get these ideas, but I have learned that there is no need to understand them, we just need to love them. If you are back in the dating game, pay attention to these polls, as they may help you get an idea on how to do your hair on your next date.

La semana pasada fui invitada a un evento patrocinado por Wella y Match.com quienes unieron
fuerzas para ayudar a un grupo de mujeres a arreglarse y ponerse bellas para una noche divertida donde iban a convivir con chicos solteros de Match.com. El evento tomo lugar en el Salon Huxley en San Diego. Ahi me encontré con mis amigas Laura y Jasmin. Las tres tenemos pareja así que no asistimos al evento para solteros (obvio). Pero si nos divertimos mucho mirando como peinaban a las chicas. Como nos comento una chica después del evento, " es difícil regresar al juego [de citas]," así que este tipo de eventos les ayuda a verse y sentirse mas guapas y seguras.

Una de las cosas que aprendimos en este evento es que los chicos si ponen atención a nuestro pelo, y según ellos, el peinado y en el color que usamos dice mucho de la personalidad de nosotras las mujeres. Según una encuesta (la cual puedes ver al final de este post), "un tercio de hombres solteros piensan que las mujeres con trenza son deportistas y aventureras" mientras que las mujeres "con cabello lacio son dignas de ser esposas." Yo jamas hubiera adivinado que los chicos analizan tanto nuestro cabello.

No se de donde sacan los hombres estas ideas, pero he aprendido que no hay que entenderlos, solo quererlos. Si tu también estas en búsqueda de tu otra mitad, pon atención a este tipo de encuestas ya que te pueden ayudar a tener una idea de lo que pasa en la mente de los chicos y te pueden dar tips sobre como peinarte en tu próxima cita!
